WAP5 is a company which offers innovative service for mobile Internet. Currently we advise, built and implement high quality products involving WAP and SMS.

WAP5 is a Dutch company, based in Enschede at the Business and Science Park near the University of Twente.

WAP, I-mode, XML, ?

Usually people hang up too much on techniques. Whether it will be some exotic Japanese variant or WAP, XML or plain HTML over TCP/IP, it really doesn't matter to you, your customers and us. It only matters to the hardware-people in this world.

WAP5 develops applications preferably on open source software (MySQL, Linux, PHP, etc) and serves applications from her own servers (ASP). This ensures stability, quick development, high maintainability and expandability.

Vision / Future

At WAP5 we think mobile Internet will play an important role in the future. Mobile access to information which can be personalized and be location sensitive will serve many. Interesting cases are the succesfull implementation of I-mode in Japan and the coming introduction of packet-switched networks in Europe (GPRS, EDGE, UMTS).

Our products

WAP5 delivers both custom made and standard applications.

On WAP we've developed a state-of-the-art mailapplication that filters, sort, shortens etc. your mail. This serverbased mailclient can use automatic identification based on the clients URL or when the telecom operator allows it on MSISDN.

The near future will be in SMS. WAP5 implements a variety of SMS applications for the B2B and B2C market. We're rapidly expanding our xSMS product group which contains the following features:

• A list of people on a local, group or global scal with customized accessibility for your employees.
• Categorized subscribers (make your own subsets and use SMS as a direct mail tool, to attend your visitors, promote a product).
• Easily manageble (categories, people, features)
• View some screenshots (they are from some of our Dutch customers, but they speak for themselves).
